Each Grizz Yard Heart is hand-painted through Carpenter Art Garden’s Teen Maker’s Club by local middle and high school teens. For every heart completed, the student artist earns a $12 stipend, providing paid creative work experience and helping address teen unemployment.

The remaining proceeds directly support Carpenter Art Garden’s after-school arts programming, covering teaching artists, art supplies, field trip excursions, snacks, and more—ensuring youth have consistent access to creative, safe, and inspiring spaces.
